Winemaker Marcelo Papa received a great endorsement when he was recognised as Winemaker of the Year by Tim Atkin in the latest report into Chilean wines, carried out in 2019.

Atkin, the British writer, wine critic, and Master of Wine, launched his latest report into Chilean wine this week at the ProWein trade fair in Düsseldorf, Germany, recognising the best of the year in the country’s wine industry.

In the report, Atkin tasted around 1,300 wines from 218 wineries during an extensive journey of three weeks, in which he travelled more than 4,000 kilometres.
